During the previous years attempts have been made but it was decided that a whole fresh approach was needed to portray the workings of the current Chamber. This requires a concise and expansive site that will be constantly updated with information for members benefit.

Natascha, our Liaison  Officer has been cleaning up and updating our database. She has also been keeping the members up to date with the  latest news and devlopments from the business sector.

Grant Writing


At the MDBC we are also  working to

  1. Provide Community Events – planning of events to promote the district
  2. Promote Murwillumbah in advertising campaigns, merchandise and signage
  3. Support the Murwillumbah Chamber Events task force – enhancing tourism and events opportunities
  4. Support the `Tweed Fresh’ initiative – promoting an industry specific platform for growers, wholesalers and end users to do business together
  5. Shop locally initiative - partnering with `Community Slice to roll out their shop locally campaign and combined marketing opportunities
  6. Provide a strong voice to Government – campaigning for action on important issues
  7. Provide a strong network of business owners in our region
  8. Look at new ways to develop and expand our services to support your business
  9. Promote the business community through raising the profile and image of our local businesses by providing regular media exposure and a proactive approach to advertising
  10. Creating educational business focussed seminars and forums
  11. Provide an up-to-date and informative website -
